Why do we say that? |
FreedomLine service will work fine, unless. . .Some state, county and local facilities contract with third-party telephone companies who have control over all inmate phone calls. Often, only collect calls are allowed, sometimes with severe restrictions. FreedomLine service usually is not allowed by such companies. At the present time, there is nothing we can do about that. You can find out if such a restrictive system is in place by calling the facility and asking who handles inmate phone calls. If the answer is Evercom, Correctional Billing Services or Global Tel Link®, we do not recommend you sign up for FreedomLine service. If inmates are allowed to direct dial local numbers, however, FreedomLine CAN save you money! So if inmates are allowed to dial local numbers from the facility, keep going. You're about to save money with every call the inmate makes to you! |

If you would like to confirm that we have numbers for a particular facility, CLICK HERE to send us the name of the facility in an email message, along with any other questions you may have. |
NOTE: Before you proceed, BE SURE the inmate can call a local number that DOES NOT have to be a collect call. If you are not sure, we recommend you call the jail or prison to find out before you proceed. |
